Sixth-placed Fulham welcome 15th-placed Nottingham Forest to Craven
Cottage in the 30th round of the Championship (CS).
Fulham have really upped their game in recent weeks, and have taken more
points from the last ten CS rounds (22) than any other side. They have
won their last four CS matches - five in a row in front of their own
fans. Good luck Nottingham!
To emphasize the Cottagers turnaround this season, they have taken 29
points from their last 15 matches (vs 19 from their first 14). Five of
their six victories at home are from the last five matches, compared to
just one win from the first nine attempts!
Forest were actually higher in the table than Fulham ten games ago, but
their form has been poor in recent weeks, and have gathered a measly
eight points over this period. Having lost six of their last ten, Aitor
Karanka’s men need to turn things around - and quickly.
‘Tricky Trees’? In terms of form, one would expect Forest to struggle
against a buoyant Fulham side, but you never know with Forest. They have
two wins in their last ten matches (all competitions) against runaway
league leaders Wolverhampton and against Premier League giants Arsenal!
Players to watch: Fulham defender-turned-winger Ryan Sessegnon has been
in sensational form lately, netting six times in the last four matches.
Nottingham fans will again look to midfield gem Kieran Dowell and hope
he can add to his nine goals this season.
Stat attack: The last six meetings between these teams have yielded 23
goals (3.83 on average), with both teams scoring in five of six.
Only rock bottom Burton Albion have conceded more goals than Forest
after 29 matches (46). Fulham have scored 2.33 goals on average in their
last six home matches.
